I am a Chartered Clinical Psychologist, registered both with the British Psychological Society (BPS) and with the Health Professions Council (HPC). I am currently Self-Employed and work in Chester, Cheshire and have a special interest in working with young people and their parents and families. I also have a contract as a sessional therapist for Adoption Matters North West to provide adoption related therapeutic work to parents, children and families who are experiencing difficulties.

Clinical Psychologist in Chester CheshireI worked until 2013 as a Senior Clinical Psychologist in Guernsey CAMHS, holding specific responsibility for children with behaviour problems and for developing parenting services across the island. I also provided Psychological input to Children’s Services and supervised a more junior Clinical Psychologist who was part of the Child Protection team.

I have a special interest in early intervention, perinatal psychology and attachment based models of therapy. I am trained in using Dyadic Developmental Psychotherapy (Attachment-Focused Family Therapy) and therapeutic parenting. I am trained and registered to use Interpersonal Psychotherapy with adults and adolescents. I am trained to practice Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy with adults and children. I have experience in using integrative models and employ techniques adopted from Mentalization based therapy, Psychoanalytic models, Compassion Focused Therapy and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy.

I have considerable experience in providing group interventions and in working in schools.  I have previously worked in London for 8 years as a qualified Clinical Psychologist in both adult and child mental health settings and also in community based projects.
